Full Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland
The DC IO Conference is an annual conference that I began in 2014 that draws together IO economists from local universities (Maryland, Georgetown, GWU, Virginia and Johns Hopkins), government agencies (DoJ, FTC, Federal Reserve, CFPB) and the private sector. It partly serves as an `IO Day/IO Fest' for our area, but we also have lunchtime discussions on policy topics or recent antitrust cases. Since 2015 it has been generously sponsored by Compass Lexecon, with support provided by the Maryland Center for Economics and Policy.
